We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for tracking stock levels, conducting cycle counts, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management principles. The ideal candidate will be proficient with inventory management software and possess excellent analytical skills. You will collaborate closely with other departments, including receiving, shipping, and order fulfillment, to maintain optimal stock rotation and minimize loss. Your keen eye for detail will help us maintain a highly organized and efficient warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and reorder points.
- Implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Assist with the receiving and put-away process to ensure proper stock location.
- Identify and report on slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Operate equipment safely, including forklifts if required, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all housekeeping standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in inventory control or warehouse operations preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with WMS software is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving frequent lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Awareness of and adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
