Job Summary:
We are searching for a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our warehouse team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This role is pivotal in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, implementing inventory control procedures, and ensuring optimal stock levels. Your work will directly impact our logistics efficiency, supply chain management, and overall operational success. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels and report on inventory turnover and aging.
  • Work with the logistics team to optimize warehouse layout and storage methods.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of all inventory items.
  • Utilize inventory management software (IMS) and other tools to track inventory.
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize inventory loss and obsolescence.
  • Train warehouse staff on proper inventory handling and cycle counting procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE.
  • Ensure proper Lifting techniques are followed by all staff.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and sales teams to forecast inventory needs.
  • Maintain accurate and organized inventory records.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related role.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software (IMS) and WMS.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain principles.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks as needed, including occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Good communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
