Mission: What You'll Achieve

Success for the Sr. Platform Engineer, Tango means accelerating execution while maintaining quality and reliability. You will be directly accountable for creating a technical foundation capable of scaling the Tango product line beyond early lighthouse customers into a repeatable, enterprise-ready platform.

This role exists to ensure Tango becomes a scalable product line customers trust, sales can confidently sell, and the company can invest behind with conviction. You will ensure Tango ships with clarity, predictability, and sustained velocity, supported by disciplined engineering standards, automated testing coverage, and resilient ServiceNow-native DevOps patterns

Outcomes: What Success Looks Like

Within the first 12-15 months, success will be measured by accomplishing the following key outcomes (listed in order of importance):

• ServiceNow–Python Integration Framework Established: Delivered a standardized Python-based API integration framework that reduced integration development time by XX% and improved cross-system test reliability.
• Scalable API Gateway Patterns Operationalized: Implemented secure, reusable REST/SOAP patterns that increased integration success rates and reduced customer onboarding friction by XX%.
• Automation Confidence Improved: Built Python-driven integration tests and CI/CD checks that boosted deployment reliability by XX%.
• Ecosystem Extensibility Enabled: Delivered utilities and SDKs allowing customers and internal teams to extend Tango integrations easily.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and maintain the core technical architecture for the Tango platform, ensuring scalability and enterprise readiness
• Define and enforce engineering coding standards, best practices, and automated testing strategies, particularly within ServiceNow-native environments
• Implement and utilize deployment/testing frameworks to ensure high predictability and quality of quarterly roadmap commitments
• Develop developer experience (DevEx) improvements, including sandbox automation and scripted REST API utilities, to increase engineering productivity
• Collaborate with product and go-to-market teams to translate real-world constraints from design partners into repeatable and resilient technical patterns
• Troubleshoot and resolve reliability issues to meet performance benchmarks and reduce customer escalations
• Act as a technical leader, providing coaching and mentorship to level up the engineering team

We Are Looking for Someone With:

Required Technical Competencies

• ServiceNow Engineering Mastery: Deep understanding of ServiceNow architecture, scripting patterns (Glide API), integration models, and deployment/testing frameworks
• Execution Discipline: Proven ability to deliver predictable engineering outcomes with velocity, quality, and operational rigor
• Customer-Driven Technical Validation: Skilled at translating real-world customer constraints into robust, repeatable technical patterns
