JOB SUMMARY:
The Administrative Assistant-ADAP/HICP( AIDS Drug Assistance Program and Health Insurance Continuation Program) is a critical member of a multidisciplinary team which provides efficient, effective and compassionate services to adults living with HIV in a clinical setting. The person in this role will support the general administrative functions of a wide variety of duties including replying to emails, answering phones and attending to voicemails. The Administrative Assistant will assist the team by calling and scheduling patients for their enrollment or recert appointments. The Administrative Assistant will inform/call patients enrolled into HICP about Georgia's Department of Public Health (DPH) policy update's deadline. Responsibilities will also include reviewing and sorting spread sheets from Pride Life according to the clients' allocated location. The Administrative Assistant will work collaboratively with ADAP/ HICP Team Lead and Enrollment Specialist as well with members of Clinic, Social Services, Pharmacy, Front Desk, and Billing teams.

Requirements
REQUIRMENTS:

  • Is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent communication skills
  • Ability to provide excellent care, especially to indigent and culturally diverse populations
  • Possesses professional experience (at least one year) in a healthcare setting, preferably in a setting serving low income and uninsured/under-insured individuals
  • Ability to work independently and without close supervision when needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher from an accredited university, preferably with a major in healthcare, social work, or related social service field
  • Ability to work with patients and staff from diverse backgrounds preferred
  • Experience utilizing multiple documentation systems, including Electronic Health Record (EHR)
