About The Role
The HR Generalist at MI Windows and Doors plays a pivotal role in supporting the company's human resources functions, with a particular focus on employee relations, policy implementation, and strategic alignment. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who is passionate about fostering a positive work environment and strengthening employee engagement across various business units. The HR Generalist will collaborate closely with leadership and team members to develop and execute HR strategies that support the company's operational goals and cultural values. The role demands a combination of strong interpersonal skills, analytical thinking, and a comprehensive understanding of HR best practices to effectively address employee concerns, promote compliance, and contribute to organizational success.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field, along with 3-5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or Business Partner. Demonstrated proficiency in problem-solving and analytical skills is essential, as is the ability to thrive in a challenging, team-oriented environment. Candidates should have excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict management abilities, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Certifications in HR, such as SHRM or HRCI, are considered a plus. Additionally, behavioral competencies such as collaboration, engagement, results-driven mindset, self-development, customer focus, and servant leadership are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Provide HR support and guidance to assigned business units, leveraging manufacturing experience to align HR strategies with operational goals.
- Partner with leadership and team members to develop and implement HR initiatives that foster a positive workplace culture and support talent development.
- Assist in the development, communication, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal and internal standards.
- Offer guidance on policy interpretation and application, addressing employee relations issues with professionalism and sensitivity.
- Utilize HR data analytics to diagnose underlying organizational challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and enhance employee engagement.
- Investigate employee relations cases, propose effective solutions, and facilitate resolution processes.
- Support talent acquisition efforts, onboarding, and training initiatives to ensure a seamless integration of new employees.
- Participate in organizational planning, succession planning, and performance management activities.
- Other duties as assigned to support the overall HR function and organizational objectives.
