Our part-time Bartender/Server provides exceptional customer service to all stakeholders in alignment with Buddha Sushi's Core Value System (i.e., Legendary Service, Excellence, Integrity, Empowerment, Teamwork, Cleanliness, Organization, Professionalism and Accountability) while coordinating efficient and effective Front of the House Bar and Service operations. Our Bartender/Server will also maintain standards of quality, service, and facilities in all areas over which he/she has responsibility and authority.

Bartender/Server Requirements:

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to collaborate effectively as a team.
• Effective business acumen, time management, exceptional personal interaction skills, excellent analytical and organizational skills, and ability to maintain a commitment to superior customer service regardless of the situation.
• Persuasive communication skills that will help in up-selling, building trust and retaining guests.
• Mixology skills and knowledge of basic cocktail recipes and mixing techniques is an advantage. Basic knowledge of Sake, Beer and Wine and extensive knowledge of common drinks, which they use to recommend drinks to guests, prepare cocktails, pour beers and properly decant wines preferred.
• Working knowledge and proven experience with safe knife skills for preparation of garnishments is required.
• Basic math skills are critical for handling cash, giving correct change, closing paperwork and tracking tabs accurately.
• Knowledge of Hospitality and Restaurant rules, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Technologically adept and proficient in computers and POS software systems, for example Sky Tab, Aloha and Clover.
• Practical hotel, catering, restaurant, waiting, and customer service work experience is essential.
• Bartenders must be of legal drinking age, 18 years or older.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A Bartending License or Certification covering responsible alcohol service, safe food handling, and cocktail preparation techniques a plus.
• Must have a valid state-issued driver's license in good standing.
• Must have a valid USVI Health Card.
• Ability to stand and bend for long periods of time and lift up to 50lbs.

Compensation: $8-12 per hour plus Tips/Gratuities
