We are currently searching for a Safety Manager to work with our Charlotte, NC Division.

We're looking for an experienced Safety Manager to lead our efforts in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment across our projects. This position will oversee all aspects of safety — from training and audits to incident investigation and regulatory compliance — while fostering a culture where safety is everyone's responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support field safety programs across multiple job sites
- Conduct regular jobsite inspections and audits, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory safety standards
- Deliver various safety training and coaching to employees and subcontractors on safe work practices
- Conduct orientations for new hire employees and subcontractors
- Lead or assist in daily JSAs, weekly toolbox talks, and safety stand downs
- Oversee and inspect safety equipment, PPE inventory, and field safety resources
- Conduct behavior-based safety observations and coach employees toward success
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and property damage; recommend corrective actions
- Assist with Root Cause Analyses
- Maintain OSHA logs, safety records, and required documentation
- Partner with project management and field supervision to develop site-specific safety plans and JHAs
- Communicate clearly and consistently with leadership regarding safety performance and trends
- Support field leadership with permitting (excavation, confined space, hot work) and administer first aid when needed
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of safety experience in heavy civil, industrial, or construction environments
- Background in heavy equipment operations, site prep, and underground utilities preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA 1926 standards
- Minimum OSHA 30-hour Construction
- OSHA 510 and OSHA 500 preferred
- CHST, CSP, or similar certifications preferred
- Current First Aid/ CPR/ AED certification
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed
- Commitment to building and maintaining a strong safety culture
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
