Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to instruct 2nd-grade students in a nurturing and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, classroom management expertise, and a commitment to fostering academic growth and social development. This role involves designing and implementing curriculum, supporting diverse learners, and promoting a positive classroom atmosphere aligned with educational standards and best practices.
Duties
- Develop and execute age-appropriate lesson plans that align with curriculum standards in literacy, math, science, and social studies.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to create a safe, respectful, and stimulating learning environment.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations.
- Incorporate learning technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and understanding.
- Provide individualized support and tutoring to students requiring additional assistance, including those with special needs or on the autism spectrum.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support student development and address behavioral or learning challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavioral reports.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices, including early childhood education, Montessori methods, or early intervention strategies if applicable.
- Engage in curriculum development initiatives to continuously improve instructional materials and classroom activities.
- Support library services by integrating literacy education resources into daily lessons.
Skills
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Proven classroom management skills to maintain an organized and disciplined learning environment.
- Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds, including those with special needs or requiring behavioral management strategies.
- Proficiency in lesson planning, curriculum development, and assessment techniques.
- Knowledge of learning technology tools to facilitate interactive lessons and digital literacy skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies for children with autism or those needing early intervention services.
- Experience with standardized testing preparation and tutoring for academic excellence.
- Excellent writing skills for report writing, lesson documentation, and parent communication.

Pay: $55, $80,000.00 per year
