Junior Estimator

Overview
City Wide Paving is searching for a determined, well-rounded, and detail-orientated individual to join our team as a junior estimator. We are more than willing to train on the job; little to no experience required. This individual is expected to work well in a team environment as well as individually to receive, investigate, process, and analyze small scale construction project opportunities.

Duties

• Develop comprehensive construction estimates by reviewing plans, specifications, and project documents using industry-standard and available tools.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Collaborate with project managers, senior estimators and clients to negotiate pricing, scope adjustments, and contract terms that align with project goals.
• Utilize construction estimating best practices to control costs while ensuring quality standards are met throughout the bidding process.
• Assist in preparing bid proposals, budgets, and schedules that accurately reflect project requirements and constraints.
• Conduct site visits to gather on-the-ground insights that influence accurate cost forecasting and risk assessment.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, change orders, and other relevant documentation for transparency and future reference.

Experience

• 2 years of labor or operator experience in construction or related field.
• Familiarity with basic business software such as Excel.
• Basic knowledge of construction site operations.
• Proficiency in math or basic engineering and logistics.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
