Personal Care Assistant (77065)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant near Northwest Houston with reliable transportation to make it to work and provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for those you serve. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including lifting and positioning clients
- Help with meal preparation and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Document client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Implement behavior management techniques for individuals with autism or other behavioral challenges
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain client confidentiality at all times

Skills:
- Experience working with senior citizens or individuals with disabilities
- Knowledge of assisted living and senior care practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with home care or nursing home settings
- Proficient in meal preparation and basic cooking techniques
