We are seeking an experienced and passionate Human Resources Business Partner to lead HR operations at our Gold River Hospice care center and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our employees and the patients they serve. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the full spectrum of HR functions—including recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, compliance, and employee engagement—while creating a workplace culture that values collaboration, trust, and professional growth. Our Human Resources Business Partner enjoy some notable benefits:

  • Salary – $80,000 – $90,000 annually, based on experience.

As a Human Resources Business Partner, here's a big picture view of what you'll do:

  • Act as the primary HR partner for the Gold River care center, driving consistent, employee-focused HR operations.
  • Lead and manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Administer HRIS (ADP preferred) to maintain accurate records, generate reports, and ensure compliance with payroll and employment laws.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance for licenses, certifications, mandatory trainings, background checks, and I-9 documentation.
  • Advise leadership and employees on employee relations, policy interpretation, and performance improvement strategies.
  • Promote a positive work environment by implementing engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and effective communication strategies.
  • Collaborate with NST Human Resources and site leadership to optimize HR processes, support audits, and implement best practices for operational efficiency.

A few must-haves for a Human Resources Business Partner:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field with demonstrated knowledge of HR principles, employment law, and organizational development.
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive HR experience, ideally in healthcare, hospice, or multi-site clinical operations, with proven ability to manage complex employee lifecycle processes.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems (ADP preferred), including payroll reconciliation, reporting, employee onboarding workflows, and benefits administration.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance, including California wage and hour regulations, recordkeeping, I-9 and background check compliance, and benefits administration.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely completion of HR deliverables.
