POSITION SUMMARYThe Maintenance Worker / Painter maintains the building in a clean, orderly, safe condition. Duties include interior and exterior painting projects and may include the repair of fixtures and equipment; the performance of routine maintenance; performing general cleaning and heavy-duty cleaning duties; notifying management of needs for repairs; and snow & debris removal from walkways, sidewalks and driveways.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Two (2) or more years of painting experience
- Valid New York State driver's license
- Ability to pass background checks in accordance with Office of People with Developmental Disabilities and New York State Justice Center. Physical Requirements
- Maintenance assignments involve moderate to heavy physical work. There is a frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday.
- Regularly required to speak clearly and hear the spoken word well.
- Regularly required to utilize near vision ability to read documents
- Regularly required to perform physical maintenance tasks, including operating cleaning and repair equipment, tools, and ladders.
