Reports To: Manager, Claims Operations

Position Summary
The Claims Operations Specialist assists with the claims department's front-end operations, including claims intake, documentation, and initial claim assignment. This role supports accurate and timely claims processing by serving as a key point of contact for incoming claims and coordinating information between insureds, agents, adjusters, and internal teams.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Review and process incoming claims submissions, initial communications, and first notices of loss to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate with insurance agents, insureds, and other relevant parties to verify claim information and obtain additional documentation or information as needed.
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of claims into the Company's claims management and policy administration systems.
  • Coordinate the assignment of adjusters to new claims and assist in the establishment of initial reserves.
  • Contribute to claims analytics for reports and special projects to support the claims operation and processing manager and senior management.
  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Claims Operations and Processing Department, including technical and workflow issue management.
  • May coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless claims processing and resolution.
  • Train and guide staff on organizational policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency in claims processing.
