We are seeking a skilled Intermediate Assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have solid mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety. In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly of mechanical equipment and fabrication of piping systems. You will work both independently and collaboratively with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently, accurately, and to high standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Assembly Manager with cycle time assessments and provide information for delivery timelines, work order priorities, and new product assemblies
  • Plan and organize assembly tasks according to established processes, prints, and quality specifications
  • Install pumps, instruments, valves, and meters according to Process and Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID) and mechanical layout drawings
  • Measure, cut, thread, glue, solder, and assemble pipe (PVC and steel) according to drawings
  • Troubleshoot and perform repairs on various mechanical systems
  • Obtain required materials and ensure components are assembled according to drawings
  • Help ensure assembly work stays on schedule and within budget
  • Pack and crate parts and accessories for shipping while completing quality control checks and documentation
  • Collaborate with team members to address missed targets and improve processes
  • Follow all quality and safety policies, procedures, and system requirements
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in mechanical assembly work
  • Prior experience in plumbing work an asset
  • Completed high school education
