POSITION DESCRIPTION Title: Intern, Digitization and Collections Reports to: Director, Heritage Services Location: Golf Canada Head Office Status: Contract – 6 months Ideal Start Date: April 2026 End Date: August/September OVERVIEW: Golf Canada is the National Sports Federation and governing body for golf in Canada representing more than 319,000 golfers and 1,435 member clubs across the country. For more information about what Golf Canada is doing to support golf in your community, visit This 6-month contract position will be responsible for digitizing photographs within our collection and inputting the data into our collections management software. PRIMARY DUTIES: Digitization %
• Photographing artifacts
• Scanning images (slides, negatives, prints)
• Uploading images to our online photo system and accurately providing metadata Collections %
• Accession artifacts into our collections management software
• Store items appropriately using best handling methods
• Assist in managing the trophies for Golf Canada's competitions
• Work with the library, archival, A/V and artifact collections OTHER DUTIES:
• Staff external events/exhibits (i.e. RBC Canadian Open) and provide trophy support
• Must be able to prioritize activities based on internal requests for information
• Research requests REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES:
• Must be able to work on ones own
• Repetition of tasks
• Monitor output and ensure accuracy
• Must be proficient in editing/correcting images (ie, photoshop)
• Data entry into collections management system (InMagic, Argus, etc.)
• Time management
• Experience working with a mixed collection
• No prior golf knowledge required but is considered an asset NOTE: The Golf Canada's regular hours of work are 40 hours per week, namely Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day and 5 days a week including a one-hour lunch. However, the demands of your position may mean that your hours of work will vary, may be irregular and will be the hours required to meet the objectives of your employment. AUTRES TÂCHES : · Assurer une présence lors d'évènements/expositions (p. ex. : Omnium canadien RBC) et assurer un soutien à l'utilisation des trophées. · Doit être capable de prioriser ses activités en fonction des demandes internes d'information. · Effectuer des recherches sur demande. COMPÉTENCES REQUISES : · Capacité de travail autonome. · Attention aux détails malgré le caractère répétitif des tâches. · Surveiller la production et en assurer l'exactitude et la précision. · Maîtrise la correction et la modification d'images (Photoshop, etc.). · Capacité d'entrer des données dans un logiciel de gestion des collections (InMagic, Argus, etc.). · Capacité de gestion de son temps et des priorités. · Expérience de travail avec des collection variées.
