Position Description:
The CampAbility Coordinator is responsible for managing the daily operations of the summer day camp, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for campers. This role oversees CampAbility (for campers ages 4-10years of age), classroom leads and assistants, supervises before and after care programs, and collaborates on curriculum development. The Camp Coordinator plays a key role in staff training, camper behavior management, and overall program execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Oversee daily camp operations, ensuring a well-structured and positive environment.
· Supervise and support classroom leads, assistants, and volunteers.
· Assist in the development of camp activities, including events, crafts, and STEM projects.
· Manage the Before and After Care program, including staffing and scheduling.
· Collaborate with the Program Manager to train and evaluate camp staff.
· Lead daily and weekly staff meetings to discuss camp operations and expectations.
· Communicate daily with families regarding session themes, activities, and necessary items.
· Support classroom leads in behavior management, guidance, and redirection of campers.
· Obtain Safety Care certification prior to the start of camp.
· Manage supply purchases, track receipts, and handle reimbursement processes.
· Complete all necessary paperwork, including incident reports, in a timely and thorough manner.
· Coordinate with the Program Manager for transportation, field trips, volunteers, and special visitors.
· Oversee camper medication, including check-in, documentation, distribution, and return.
· Maintain organization of the camp site and serve as a liaison for location partnerships.
Qualifications and Experience:
· Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology.
· Certifications: CPR, First Aid, and Safety Care certification (or willingness to obtain before camp).
Experience:
o Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities.
o Classroom or group management experience preferred.
o Experience developing relationships with families and staff is a plus.

· Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic camp environment.
· Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging experience for campers and staff.
