We currently have a career opportunity for a
Search Architect
to join our Data and Analytics Team. This position can be located anywhere in the US and work
REMOTE
with light travel.
As a
Search Architect
, you will provide best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; you will assist in defining scope and sizing of work; and anchor Proof of Concept developments. You will provide solution architecture for the business problem, platform integration with third party services, designing and developing complex features for clients' business needs.
The
Search Architect
will provide technology direction, ensure project implementation compliance, and utilize technology research to innovate, integrate, and manage technology solutions. You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high-quality solutions, participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs.
This role may mentor Junior Architects and /or development team members.

Responsibilities
- Own and aggressively drive forward specific areas of technology architecture. Provide architectural solutions/designs to project execution teams for implementation.
- Provide technology architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps for one or more technology domains.
- Scope level of effort and author statements of work for customer projects.
- Lead projects within architecture. Work with Product Owner/Business Analysts to understand functional requirements and interact with other cross-functional teams to architect, design, develop, test, and release features.
- Develop Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions.
- Own development of a few features in every Sprint.
- Support multiple Agile Scrum teams with planning, scoping and creation of technical solutions for the new product capabilities, through to continuous delivery to production.
- Liaise with offshore team and clients for resolving technical dependencies, issues, and risks.
- Mentor and provide architectural guidance to multiple teams building innovative applications.
- Drive common vision, practices and capabilities across teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years programming experience with holistic programming and Search technologies i.e. Coveo, OpenSearch, Google Vertex AI, Elastic, Lucidworks.
- Leadership and team management experience with ability to provide strategic planning and oversight.
- At least 5 years of experience in technology consulting, enterprise and solutions architecture and architectural frameworks.
- At least 5 years of experience with full stack development technologies such as Java, .NET, Python, React, Angular, and related frameworks
- At least 2 years of experience with search technologies such as Coveo, Lucidworks, Algolia, Bloomreach, ElasticSearch, Solr, Azure Cognitive Search or Google Cloud Search.
- Fluent and current on architecture trends with an eye on market/technical conditions and future direction.
- Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive an independent project from an architectural stand point.
- Experience in complete project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
- Knowledge and experience in developing software using agile methodologies.
- Proven track record of technical leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes.
- Skilled in building relationships with clients and in practice development activities.
- Demonstrated success in performing work and managing complex and/or large consulting projects.
- Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
- Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing offshore teams.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is preferred.
- Must be open to occasional travel.
The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $155,000 to $190,000. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
