We are seeking a Group Sales Manager to be responsible for generating and managing sales opportunities for group bookings. This role involves building relationships with clients, developing sales strategies, handling inquiries, and ensuring a seamless event lifecycle from client communications, booking, to event execution in collaboration with the Conference Services Manager. Ensure the client's expectations and needs are addressed by collaborating with our teams to deliver memorable experiences to clients and their guests.
The Group Sales Manager contributes to revenue growth by maximizing sales opportunities and maintaining client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Proactively solicit, build, and strengthen relationships within market group sales seeking opportunities through various sales channels and working to build long-term value-based customer relationships.
- Respond to RFPs, prepare proposals and upsell each business opportunity to maximize revenue potential.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and expectations for conferences and events.
- Conduct site tours for clients as needed and provide personalized service and support throughout the planning process, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
- Foster long-term relationships with clients by delivering exceptional service and anticipating their needs for future events.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of Group Sales experience
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and vendors through various platforms, including phone and email.
- Proficiency in event sales software, Delphi/Salesforce preferred, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant computer applications.
- Travel to industry-related trade shows and/or outside sales calls will be required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a hotel/hospitality setting
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, event planning, or related field is preferred.
