The Role:
We’re looking for a Junior to Mid-level SEO & Content Executive to join our Marketing team in Edinburgh. This role is content-led, with around 70% focused on creating, updating, and optimising website content, including weekly news articles, product descriptions, and Help Centre content. You’ll also support SEO initiatives, including weekly technical health checks, on-page optimisation, and monitoring performance across search engines and AI-driven platforms. This role is ideal for someone who is curious, data-driven, and proactive, and who thrives on seeing the tangible impact of their work on traffic, clicks, and sales. You will collaborate closely with the wider Marketing team, IT and development teams, commercial teams, and external PR agencies, helping to shape content opportunities and support the overall digital strategy. While we can teach SEO techniques, we’re looking for someone who brings the right attitude, creativity, and a willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities:
Content (Main Focus):
Create and publish weekly news articles to keep the website fresh and up to date Update existing website content, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and SEO optimisation Identify content gaps and opportunities, proposing new topics and pages to support SEO and user engagement Ensure all content adheres to brand tone, style, and E-E-A-T principles Collaborate with Marketing, PR agency, and Commercial teams to align content with campaigns and promotions Use AI and optimisation tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini) to support content creation, editing, and performance improvement SEO & PR (Supporting Focus):
Implement weekly technical SEO health check fixes Identify and fix broken links, duplicate content, missing meta tags, and crawl errors Optimise on-page SEO across new and existing content Track competitor performance and identify opportunities for content or SEO improvement Analyse performance metrics in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools to recommend actionable improvements Support link-building and outreach initiatives, including monitoring backlinks Collaboration & Stakeholders
Work closely with the wider Marketing team on overall strategic approach Collaborate with IT and development teams on technical SEO improvements Partner with Commercial teams to align content and SEO with business goals Work with PR agency to coordinate content, campaigns, and brand messaging Tools & Platforms:
You’ll regularly work with: Google Analytics (GA4), Search Console & AdWords Authoritas Screaming Frog AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT and similar) Custom CMS, WordPress or similar About You:
1–3 years’ experience in SEO and Content (Ideally content focused) Strong grasp of SEO fundamentals and how content drives results Excellent writing skills, able to adapt tone and style to different audiences Confident working with SEO and analytics tools to guide decisions Understands E-E-A-T principles and how to apply them to content strategy Data-driven, able to interpret metrics and turn insights into actionable improvements Familiar with AIO (AI Overview), AI Mode and UCP (Unified Content Platform) Curious, proactive, and always eager to learn Positive, collaborative, and committed to delivering quality work Bonus points if you have experience in digital PR but not needed Why Join Us:
