This full-time, long-term assignment is due to start in
March , subject to clearance. The school is seeking a
DT specialist
with experience in
workshop-based teaching
to deliver engaging and practical lessons across KS3 and KS4. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, managing workshop activities safely, and marking work to maintain high standards of teaching and learning. Hold QTS status or an equivalent teaching qualification Be confident teaching DT in a workshop environment Have experience leading classes of pupils aged 11–16 Demonstrate strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills Have a sound understanding of health and safety within a workshop setting Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills Be willing to engage in ongoing professional development Work effectively under pressure and adapt quickly Be enthusiastic, proactive, and have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude Be able to commute to
