This is a critical, delivery-focused role requiring deep experience in banking/wealth management architecture, strong Credit knowledge, and the ability to work within fast-paced, multi-vendor programme environments.
Define and maintain the target solution architecture for a new Credit platform, covering the application, integration, data, and infrastructure layers.
Lead and support architectural design sessions, producing solution blueprints that balance functional, technical, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure architectural decisions align with enterprise architecture principles, security policies, and regulatory expectations (e.g., FCA, PRA, GDPR).
Stakeholder Engagement
Engage effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders: business leads, delivery managers, solution engineers, compliance and security teams.
Translate complex technical issues into clear, business-relevant insights and decisions.
Inform the integration strategy between the new Credit platform and surrounding systems (e.g., CRM, data warehouse, digital channels, payments).
Work with data architects to define data models, migration plans, and reporting structures aligned with the new Credit platform data structures.
Technology Leadership & Delivery Support
Act as a design authority within a Credit change programme, supporting sprint planning, design reviews, and technical governance.
Collaborate to ensure technical feasibility and alignment of parameterisation/customisation with design standards.
Guide teams during implementation, ensuring technical quality and adherence to design.
Participate in design reviews, technical risk assessments, and architectural decision forums.
Support change impact analysis, release planning, and non-functional requirement validation (e.g., scalability, performance, availability).
Liaise with vendor product teams to understand product capabilities, configuration options, and roadmap impacts.
Review vendor deliverables and validate that customisations and extensions adhere to best practices and design integrity.
Review vendor deliverables and ensure solutions are robust, scalable, secure, and regulatory compliant.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Solution Architect on Credit solution implementations or large-scale banking transformation projects.
Strong working knowledge of Credit products, processes and solutions
Experience with UK private banking or wealth management operating models and regulatory considerations.
Deep understanding of enterprise integration architecture, data flows, and common middleware patterns.
Familiarity with UK regulatory standards, including FCA regulations, CCA, and GDPR compliance.
Experience with agile/hybrid project environments, and collaboration tools such as Confluence, Jira and Lucidchart.
Excellent communication and documentation skills; ability to translate complex technical concepts to business audiences.
Desirable Qualifications
Knowledge of the Supernova CreditLink application
Knowledge of Azure cloud services and hybrid/cloud integration architecture.
Previous contracting experience within Tier 1–3 UK banks or wealth managers.
