About The Role
This position is a hands-on content writer role focused on creating impactful, SEO-optimized content that drives measurable results. Unlike managerial or strategic roles, this role requires personal involvement in writing, editing, and publishing content that enhances Retell AI's brand presence and supports growth objectives. The ideal candidate will leverage AI tools to enhance speed and quality while ensuring that the final output remains human, sharp, and compelling. Your work will be directly tied to key performance indicators such as SEO rankings, website traffic, lead conversions, and engagement metrics. You will be expected to take ownership of your projects, working in a fast-paced startup environment that values discipline, resilience, and a relentless drive for growth. This role is perfect for someone who is scrappy, hardworking, and eager to make a significant impact in a rapidly scaling AI startup. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the voice of Retell AI and supporting its mission to lead the voice automation industry.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a content writer, preferably in SaaS, AI, or B2B technology sectors
• Strong understanding of SEO best practices and experience with tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, or SurferSEO
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills
• Ability to produce long-form articles, guides, case studies, landing pages, and social media content
• Data-driven mindset with a focus on measurable impact and KPI ownership
• Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, or Notion dashboards
• Experience working in fast-paced startup environments or tech teams
• Comfortable using AI tools like ChatGPT, Jasper, or similar for ideation and efficiency
• Strong work ethic, disciplined, and willing to work 50-70 hours per week to achieve goals
• Excellent collaboration skills to align messaging across product, marketing, and sales teams

Responsibilities

• Write and publish high-quality, SEO-optimized content including long-form articles, guides, and explainers that enhance brand authority and search visibility
• Drive growth by setting and owning content KPIs such as website traffic, backlinks, engagement, and lead conversions
• Optimize on-page SEO performance using tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, or SurferSEO to identify opportunities and improve search rankings
• Expand the backlink profile by pitching guest posts and building relationships with industry partners to secure high-quality links
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure messaging consistency and alignment with product, marketing, and sales strategies
• Create compelling storytelling content including landing pages, case studies, social media posts, and brand narratives that resonate with target audiences
• Analyze content performance data to learn what works, iterate on strategies, and maximize ROI
• Leverage AI tools effectively for ideation, drafting, and editing, maintaining a balance between automation and human touch
• Support the development of content strategies that contribute to the company's rapid growth and market positioning
