Activity Director Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive activity program that caters to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents
- Plan and execute daily activities, including social events, outings, and entertainment programs
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure activities align with resident care plans and goals
- Recruit and supervise volunteers to assist with activity programming
- Maintain accurate records of activity participation and program evaluation
- Foster relationships with local community organizations to enhance programming and opportunities for residents
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of our care philosophy
Activity Director Requirements:
- Experience in a healthcare setting, but passion for creating engaging experiences for seniors
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with activity program planning and implementation
- Certification in activity direction or related field required
