Job Overview

Responsibilities

• MUST SPEAK ENGLISH AND SPANISH (PORTUGUESE A PLUS)
• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and offering personalized product recommendations.
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about various items, enhancing their shopping experience and encouraging sales.
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for transactions including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts.
• Assist in supervising team members to ensure smooth store operations, including training new staff and supporting team collaboration.
• Manage stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and performing regular inventory checks to maintain an appealing store layout.
• Implement effective merchandising strategies to highlight featured products and maximize sales opportunities through attractive displays.
• Upsell complementary products by identifying customer needs and suggesting additional items to enhance their purchase.
• Maintain professional phone etiquette when handling inquiries or placing orders remotely.
• Support overall store cleanliness and organization to create a safe and inviting shopping environment.

Requirements

• Proven retail sales experience with a strong understanding of cashiering and basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
• Supervising experience in a retail setting is preferred, demonstrating leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively and provide clear product information.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases more effectively.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math is essential for daily operations.
• Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos enhances your ability to succeed in this role.
• Prior experience working in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous for understanding customer service standards.
