Sushi Chef

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Japanese cuisine, exceptional knife skills, and a keen eye for presentation. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality sushi and related dishes, ensuring food safety standards are met, and delivering an authentic dining experience to our guests. Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble sushi dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station in compliance with food safety regulations
• Select fresh ingredients and handle food with care to ensure quality and safety
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs for replenishment
• Ensure all dishes are prepared efficiently to meet service timelines
• Uphold high standards of hygiene, sanitation, and food handling throughout all kitchen activities

Experience

• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within Japanese cuisine setting
• Strong knowledge of dietary department practices, food safety, and handling procedures
• Skilled in knife techniques, meal preparation, and food presentation artistry
• Background in the food industry with restaurant or catering experience preferred
• Familiarity with kitchen operations, culinary standards, and maintaining high-quality food safety practices
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail is highly valued

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
