Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in food preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are prepped and ready for busy dinners and lunches. This position requires a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications.
• Assist in the cooking process by preparing sauces, stocks, and other components as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled and stored correctly.
• Collaborate with leadership and kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of meals.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other food preparation tools.
• Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations is essential.
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques are highly desirable.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• A passion for the food industry and willingness to learn new skills in the kitchen.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
