Responsibilities
Perform regular weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual inspections of fire alarm and suppression systems, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of fire alarm and suppression systems to identify and rectify any issues promptly.
Perform necessary repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring the systems are fully operational.
Collaborate with clients, team members, and other stakeholders to schedule inspections, maintenance, and repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
Document all findings, impairments, actions taken, and recommendations accurately in detailed service reports.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, concerns, and providing technical guidance as needed.
Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills and maintain relevant certifications.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in servicing fire alarm systems, including pre-action and FM-200 suppression systems.
Strong understanding of relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards (NFPA 72, NEC, etc.).
Certificate of Fitness for Fire Alarm Systems Inspection, Testing and Service Technician (S-98), required.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues with fire alarm and suppression systems.
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate and comprehensive service reports.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to client locations.
Physical ability to lift and carry equipment and perform tasks in various environments.
Preferred
NICET 2 Certification-Level 2
OSHA 30
SST (site safety training)
Member of IBEW local 3
