Role Description

We are seeking a Construction Cost Accountant for a full-time, remote position. This role is responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting job costs and financial data across construction projects. The Construction Accountant will support project and executive teams by delivering accurate financial insights related to budgets, job costing, and overall project performance.

Key responsibilities include maintaining cost reports, preparing financial statements, posting journal entries, monitoring project budgets, and identifying cost variances and savings opportunities. This role plays a critical part in supporting informed financial decision-making and ensuring accurate accounting throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

Strong experience in construction cost accounting, including job costing and project financial analysis

Proven ability to prepare and analyze financial statements and cost reports

Advanced analytical skills to identify trends, variances, and cost-control opportunities

Experience maintaining accurate journal entries and general ledger accounts

Solid understanding of construction finance principles, budgeting, and reporting

High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage deadlines

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Experience with construction accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred

Salary:
$80,000 - $100,000
