We are hiring a Shipping Clerk in Charlotte, North Carolina, to manage and process outbound shipments efficiently and accurately. This role is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring that products reach our customers on time and in perfect condition. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, verifying order accuracy, packing orders securely, and maintaining shipping records. A strong focus on workplace safety is essential, and you must comply with all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE . This role may involve some lifting and moving of packages. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping labels and documentation (e.g., BOLs, packing slips).
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Verify outgoing orders for accuracy against shipping manifests.
- Package items securely for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant parties.
- Maintain organized shipping records and files.
- Operate shipping dock equipment (e.g., pallet jacks).
- Ensure adherence to all safety guidelines and use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse safety best practices.
