We are looking for a Sales Support Engineer AMER Region North to build our transactional sales organization. This is a permanent position with a strong preference for the selected candidate to be based in Houston, Texas. Candidates based in Fort Lauderdale, FL may also be considered. You will be reporting to the Sales Support Manager AMER Region North. What you will be doing: The position of Sales Support Engineer for AMER Region North aims to contribute with technical knowledge and commercial skills to increase sales and build relationships with our Customers. In this position, your main key responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Demonstrates an understanding of the customer's business and identifies value drivers for them Ability to create high-quality service proposal offers based on the customer business case In collaboration with Account Manager, applies value-based selling principle to showcase the commercial and technical value that Wrtsil can offer Has knowledge about Wrtsil's engine and product portfolio and comprehensive understanding about own region's installed base Proactively stays up to date with current and future technologies and solutions, enabling the identification of potential sales leads based on customer business cases or interactions with customers and internal stakeholders. Ability to identify, engage, and lead collaborations with internal and external stakeholders in a diverse cross-cultural environment Actively contributes to the success of the team by demonstrating strong teamworking skills Possesses excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively influence others. Demonstrates the ability to lead oneself and others effectively prioritize tasks and responsibilities. Demonstrates a mindset of curiosity, openness, and willingness to systematically learn Promotes a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement Ability to adapt to the use of AI and new tools to enhance sales support activities Ability to gather requirements for a given case by utilizing historical data, technical data and leveraging AI to speed-up the information search. Ability to identify & propose development ideas for new and existing tools Possesses a basic understanding of energy policies, regulations, and incentives to ensure compliance with regulations within own region Can accurately identify customer needs and direct the lead to the appropriate stakeholders Collaborate with sales, engineering, and product teams to ensure proposed solutions meet customer expectations and internal capabilities. Your success will be measured by: QEHS KPI's Proposal on time submission Non-conformity score Customer satisfaction NPS Sold vs. delivered margin Regional sales and order intake Regional sales margin and profitability
