Data Analyst
Role Overview
The Data Analyst plays a key role in supporting the People & Culture team by transforming HR data into meaningful insights that drive informed business decisions. This position partners closely with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, HR Operations, and Finance to ensure data accuracy, develop dashboards, fulfill executive reporting needs, and support workforce planning initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical expertise, a solid understanding of HR data, and the ability to clearly communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
People Analytics & Reporting
Manage, analyze, and interpret data from HR systems such as HRIS, ATS, learning platforms, and engagement tools. Develop and maintain recurring HR dashboards, including headcount, hiring, turnover, DE&I, time-to-fill, and compensation metrics. Create and maintain metrics for executive leadership, board reporting, and monthly business reviews. Respond to ad hoc people data requests with clear, accurate, and actionable insights. Identify workforce trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis. Data Quality & Governance
Ensure data accuracy and consistency across HR systems through regular audits and validation processes. Collaborate with HR Operations to improve data structures, workflows, and system coding practices. Maintain clear documentation for reporting standards, metrics definitions, and data sources. Systems & Process Support
Support HR system enhancements, configuration testing, and reporting automation initiatives. Partner with Talent Acquisition to support ATS reporting and recruiting pipeline analytics (e.g., Jobvite). Assist with compensation cycles, performance review reporting, and compliance-related analytics. Qualifications
High school diploma or bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Human Resources, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in HR analytics, people data, or business analytics. Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Smartsheet, or Excel macros. Hands-on experience with HR systems such as Workday, UKG, BambooHR, Jobvite, or similar platforms. Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy and integrity. Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential employee data while maintaining strict privacy standards. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, CDMO, or manufacturing environments. Familiarity with compensation analytics, workforce planning, or predictive modeling. Basic SQL or programming experience is a plus.
