We are seeking a Technology Alignment Engineer to support proactive IT service delivery within our Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment. This role focuses on performing onsite technical assessments, validating alignment with company standards, identifying technical risks, and providing hands-on onsite and remote IT support.
The ideal candidate has strong technical fundamentals, excellent customer-facing communication skills, and experience working in MSP or IT support environments. This role plays a critical part in reducing reactive issues, improving system reliability, and strengthening client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Alignment & Assessments
* Perform regular onsite technical assessments of client environments using standardized alignment checklists.
* Identify gaps, risks, misconfigurations, and compliance issues across systems, networks, and tools.
* Verify monitoring tools, security agents, backups, and configurations are functioning as intended.
* Document assessment findings and report alignment results to the CEO or Chief of Engineering.
* Meet before and after site visits to review findings, risks, and recommended corrective actions.
* Build trusted, face-to-face relationships with clients and demonstrate proactive IT services.
IT Support & Field Services
* Provide onsite and remote technical support for end users and client infrastructure.
* Install, configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Windows and macOS workstations.
* Support VOIP phones, network-connected devices, and peripheral equipment.
* Build, image, and deploy new workstations, laptops, monitors, and accessories.
* Assist with user onboarding and offboarding, including installation or removal of remote agents.
* Respond to and resolve service requests through the AutoTask ticketing system.
* Perform site surveys for new customers, projects, and technical initiatives.
* Provide occasional emergency field support for cameras, radio antennas, or other specialized equipment.
Required Qualifications
* Experience in IT Support, Desktop Support, Field Technician, or MSP Engineer roles.
* Strong working knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
* Understanding of networking fundamentals including LAN/WAN, switches, and Wi-Fi.
* Hands-on hardware deployment and troubleshooting experience.
* Experience working in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment.
* Strong documentation, communication, and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently onsite and collaborate effectively with internal teams.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience performing IT audits, assessments, or standards-based reviews.
* Familiarity with RMM tools
* Experience with AutoTask or other PSA/ticketing systems.
* Previous client-facing or consulting experience.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
