Traversa Solutions is a professional services organization specializing in the design, implementation, and support of LAN/WAN, network security, and wireless network solutions. We integrate technology into multi-vendor environments enabling value-added resellers and product manufacturers to confidently expand their business. Our key objective is to provide the highest level of service to technology resellers, product manufacturers, and their customers.
The Enterprise Network Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing solutions to meet our clients’ technology needs. This position requires an overall knowledge of network engineering for a broad range of network platforms. The main duties of this position include:
* Planning, designing, and implementing various components of client networks
* Understanding the communication protocols and network topologies
* Understanding various network switching, wireless, and network security solutions
* Interfacing with clients, partners, and internal team members to develop technology roadmaps
* Providing leadership, assistance, and advice to peers
* Learning new processes and technologies
*Key Duties and Responsibilities*
* Consult with clients and partners to design and implement physical and logical networks
* Effectively communicate technology (STP, VLAN’s, OSPF, BGP, WAN, SD-WAN) to clients and team members
* Configure various vendor hardware platforms based on design (HPE/Aruba, Cisco, Meraki, Brocade, Extreme, Silver Peak)
* Execute project scope requirements including designing, staging, implementing, testing, and documenting the integrated solutions
* Supervise internal and external resources to identify technical requirements
* Conduct effective L2 / L3 testing
* Learn new technology with little to no supervision and demonstrate technology to the Traversa team
* Provide coaching, mentorship, and subject matter expertise to the Traversa team
* Ensure that project delivery and documentation consistently meet the highest level of customer satisfaction
* Develop, maintain, and upload customer information to company SharePoint
* Maintain and record projected based time into company CRM tool
* Python scripting experience a plus
*Qualifications and Minimum Requirements*
* Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline plus 3+ years of experience or 7+ years of experience and demonstrated performance in a technical work environment
* Must have a minimum of 3 years of LAN / WAN design experience
* Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience working for a professional services organization, an OEM, a VAR, or as an independent consultant in the IT technical services industry
* Must have experience across a wide base of technologies such as core networking (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN), wireless networking, and network security
* Must have a strong knowledge of IT products and services
* SD-WAN design and implementation / migration experience with Silver Peak, Aruba, Cisco, or Meraki desired
* Firewall design and implementation / migration experience a plus
* Must be able to quickly learn new technologies, methodology, and processes
* CCNA or equivalent required, CCNP desired
* Can travel 30-50% of the year
* Education:
* Bachelor's (Preferred)
Experience:
* Computer Networking: 5 years (Preferred)
* LAN: 3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
* CCNP (Preferred)
* CCNA (Required)
