Position Summary The Sales Professional is responsible for prospecting and bringing on new tankwagon fuel, lubricant, fuel services, and transport customers, as well as supporting and maintaining satisfaction of current customers. They are required to maintain sales and service to their existing accounts while exploring opportunities to grow the relationships. An individual in this role must create an interest of doing business with Colonial Oil Inc, work with our Credit Department to get the account credit approved, work with our A/P department to get the account set up within our Backoffice, work with our Supply and Logistics teams to get transportation and supplier clearances in place, ensure quotes and invoices are going out to the customer correctly, and assist our A/R department with payment issues. The Sales Professional is expected to be responsive to phone calls, texts, and emails while providing good customer service and developing ongoing relationships. Job Expectations/Duties Evaluate business and customer needs to build productive long-lasting relationships with team, vendors, and customers. Maintain good relationships with customers and prospects through phone calls, emails, texts, & personal visits. Prospect potential customers by searching on the internet, cold calling, emailing, and through personal visits. Responsible for retaining current customers and providing them with excellent customer service. Meet and/or exceed personal and team sales goals. Send competitive quotes to customers and prospects nightly. Maintain sales to our base of customers. Review status of existing accounts and research sales leads by understanding the potential customer base. Attend various training sessions to keep abreast of the latest developments and knowledge. Report and provide feedback to management using CRM. Maintain and expand customer database within the assigned territory. Other assignments as needed. Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred. 5 years of experience in sales, petroleum sales or other related industry experience preferred. Cannot currently be under a non-compete agreement that conflicts with industry or job duties. Understands the importance of good customer service. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. Proven ability to successfully drive the sales process from start to close. Develop new vendor relationships and sustain existing relationships. Excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication, organization, and customer relationship development skills. Ability to work well individually and as part of a team. Must possess prospecting and closing skills. Also, must be highly self-motivated. Ability to demonstrate great confidence in the quality of our organization, product, and customer service.
