The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as a Flight Hardware Inspector. As a strong communicator and skilled hands-on Flight Hardware Inspector, you will support various departments in the following areas: Flight Hardware Inspector Review and perform inspection of product and data. Configuration management auditing to AS 9100 and Karman QMS requirements. Must be able to explain the respective role within the QMS and how their role contributes to quality. Shall contribute to product conformity as apart to their daily job function and shall contribute to product safety. Shall also be aware of ethical behavior and conduct themselves accordingly to Karman policies and procedures. Work within the Quality Department in the inspection and validation of flight hardware including the related documentation needed for the processing flight hardware. Participate and aid in the preparation of Customer Conformity Reviews. Understand and read Engineering Drawings & Models, aiding Quality inspection in the Bubbled Drawings Data Pack preparation. Interact and support customer inspection (Source). Review and understand customer quality requirements and Karman quality requirements on a job-by-job basis. Support Karman manufacturing with inspection and engineering needs. Support production schedule activities including requested overtime needs with availability. Ensure products within the Karman production SCOPE of assigned work does not have non-conforming product delivered unintentionally to the customer. Be a good team player both within the quality department and jointly with production. Able to support the needs of the entire QMS. To use the procedures and tools within the AS 9100 QMS to the intent of the standard and to the intent of Karman fabricating. Must understand how customer products are impacted in the event of failure. Knowledge and Skill Requirements: Must be detail oriented, extremely organized; possess excellent communication skills, and be able to interact well with Customers and Staff. Must be assertive, direct and have excellent people skills. Must have direct communication with internal customers. Must be able to conduct formal training of changes & customer requirements. Must know the QMS basic system of reporting, record keeping and follow instructions. Education and/or Experience: Adequate years' experience in inspection using quality techniques determined by Karman. Two (2) + Years College or related technical training. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Work Environment: This position operates in a warehouse/shop/manufacturing environment. Travel Requirements: No travel is required for this position.
