Bartender

Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment, with experience in various food and beverage settings. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, engaging with guests, and ensuring a memorable experience for all patrons. Prior experience in fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet settings is highly valued, along with proficiency in POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong time management skills, food safety knowledge, and the ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately.

Duties

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences
• Engage with guests to provide excellent customer service, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
• Manage POS transactions efficiently using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards
• Restock bar supplies and monitor inventory levels to ensure smooth operations
• Handle cashing out customers accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
• Assist in setting up for special events such as banquets or catering functions
• Ensure responsible alcohol service by monitoring guest behavior and adhering to legal regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to coordinate service during busy hours

Skills

• Proven experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
• Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and calculating bills or tips accurately
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by hospitality operations
• Effective communication skills and a friendly demeanor to enhance guest interactions
• Experience with serving alcohol responsibly and understanding of liquor laws
