Responsibilities

• Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools using commercial dishwashing equipment or manual methods.
• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by regularly cleaning workstations, floors, sinks, and storage areas to uphold health and safety standards.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as ingredient prep and portioning under supervision to support the culinary team.
• Support catering and banquet events by providing timely dishwashing and cleanup services to ensure smooth operations.
• Properly handle food items according to safety guidelines to prevent contamination or spoilage.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure a steady flow of clean dishes during busy service periods.
• Follow all sanitation protocols and safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe working environment.

Skills

• Strong understanding of food handling and sanitation practices in a commercial kitchen setting.
• Experience with bussing tables and supporting food service operations is preferred.
• Previous restaurant, hotel, or catering experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic culinary knowledge including food preparation and cooking support is a plus.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards hospitality service.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and ability to operate dishwashing machinery safely.
