Dezavala Family Dental is an established practice providing great dental care for San Antonio families for over 20 years.
We are seeking a PART TIME Endodontist to add to our team working around your schedule. Treatment to include CBCT usage to diagnose/treatment plan, non surgical and surgical endodontic treatment as well as retreatment. We are a busy office with a diverse patient base.
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will provide expert root canal therapy and other endodontic procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and comfort. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental and medical terminology, infection control protocols, and advanced dental imaging techniques. The Endodontist will collaborate with general dentists and specialists to deliver comprehensive patient care in a professional, patient-centered environment.
Duties
- Perform root canal treatments, retreatments, and apicoectomies with precision and care.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical and dental histories.
- Utilize advanced dental imaging technology to diagnose endodontic conditions accurately.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Apply aseptic techniques to ensure infection control during procedures.
- Educate patients on treatment options, procedures, and post-treatment care to promote understanding and comfort.
- Collaborate with dental team members to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Assist in the training of staff on endodontic procedures and infection control protocols.
- Ensure all procedures adhere to current dental standards, including the use of appropriate dental fabrication tools when necessary.
Experience
- Proven experience in endodontics with a strong background in root canal therapy and related procedures.
- Proficiency with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for documentation and patient management.
- Experience working within a dental clinic or dental office environment is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, prosthodontics, and general dentistry is advantageous but not required.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques, anatomy knowledge, and infection control practices essential for delivering safe, effective care.
- Prior experience in pediatric dentistry or working with pediatric patients is a plus but not mandatory. Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $238, $287,696.78 per year
