Bagel Baker

Position Summary
The Bagel Baker is responsible for producing high-quality bagels in a small manufacturing bakery. This role is hands-on and involves mixing dough, shaping, boiling, baking, and ensuring consistent quality in every batch. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, follows established processes, and works well as part of a small team in a fast-paced production setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and mix bagel dough according to established recipes and production schedules
• Shape, proof, boil, and bake bagels to meet quality and consistency standards
• Monitor fermentation, bake times, and oven temperatures to ensure optimal results
• Maintain product quality, portion accuracy, and appearance across all batches
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and allergen control procedures at all times
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and baking equipment
• Communicate with production and packaging teams to meet daily production goals
• Identify and report quality issues, equipment concerns, or ingredient shortages
• Support continuous improvement in efficiency, organization, and workflow

Qualifications

• Previous baking or food production experience preferred (bagel experience a plus)
• Ability to follow recipes and standardized processes with attention to detail
• Comfortable working early mornings, standing for long periods, and in warm environments
• Ability to lift and move bags of ingredients and trays as required
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork mindset
• Passion for producing consistent, high-quality baked goods
