Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in senior living communities . The ideal candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by delivering personalized care with professionalism and empathy. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring assistance with daily activities and health management.
Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide patient monitoring and observe for any changes in health status or behavior
- Administer pre set medications and manage care plans in accordance with healthcare protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
- Support residents with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping and sanitation tasks
- Document patient observations, vital signs, and care activities accurately following HIPAA regulations
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, including hospice, dementia, Alzheimer's, or autism-specific needs
- Follow safety procedures during patient transfers and emergency situations, including CPR and first aid when required
Requirements
- Previous one year immediate experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings is preferred ( Must).
- Knowledge of patient care techniques such as assisting with ADLs, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or memory care
- Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training are highly desirable
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs such as autism or Alzheimer's disease
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and reporting changes in condition
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks when necessary and assist with resident mobility using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate attitude towards residents of all ages and backgrounds
- Valid background check clearance; experience working within HIPAA guidelines is essential
- Flexibility to work various shifts; experience in hospice or home health care is a plus
- Non Smoker
- Valid Driving license
- Non vapor and Marijuana user
- Must clear drug tests
- Currently working as a caregiver professionally in a institutional setting.
