Responsibilities for Sr. Accountant

· Assist with month-end close by preparing and posting journal entries and accruals.

· Ability to manage prepaid expense, accrued liabilities, fixed assets and depreciation entries.

· Assist in the reconciliation of intercompany activities, as applicable, with various subsidiaries to ensure the accuracy of intercompany transactions.

· Ensure balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled to support documentation and assist with complex reconciliations

· Prepare, review and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.

· Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements.

· Assist in documenting accounting processes, policies and procedures.

· Develop and maintain good relationships with company leaders and colleagues to provide an effective and collaborative working environment.

· Perform ad hoc analysis and projects, as requested.

· Assist with year-end financial audit activities and documentation

Qualifications for Sr. Accountant

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred.

· Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience (preferably in the Skilled Nursing industry)

· Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP

· Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization

· Deadline oriented, attention to detail and has a strong analytical and organizational skills

· Confident working independently and using initiative to guide through challenges

· Highly organized, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

· Experience with other financial systems
