Job Title:
Scrum Master (with experience in Agile Project Management tools such as Azure, DevOps, Rally, Jira etc.)

Job Description:
- Scrum Master involves facilitating the agile Scrum process by coaching the team on Scrum principles removing impediments and leading ceremonies
- This role acts as a servant leader and coach who helps the team self-organize and improve their productivity ensuring adherence to the framework
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Scrum events Organize and lead all Scrum ceremonies including the Daily Scrum Sprint Planning Sprint Review Sprint Retrospective
- Remove impediments Identify and help resolve any obstacles or issues that slow down the development team
- Coach the team Train and mentor the team on Scrum theory practices and agile principles to foster self-organization and continuous improvement
- Support the Product Owner Work with the Product Owner to ensure the product backlog is well managed and understood by the development team
- Promote communication Ensure effective communication within the Scrum team and between the team and stakeholders
- Responsible for managing agile board ADO including agile metrics e.g., sprint burndowns burnups work planned vs completed velocity etc., and for keeping agile board in good working order
- Reporting Regular analysis of burndown charts communicating work planned vs work completed by sprint team velocity and other portfolio reporting to understand what gets built and at what cadence
- 3 years' experience with Agile as a Scrum Master including scrum techniques and artifacts such as Scrum Kanban user stories backlogs Scrum Kanban boards sprint planning retrospectives burndown metrics velocity
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as knowledge and experience of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project
- A proven track record of successfully implementing projects using Agile methodologies
- Agile Certifications required CSM PSM etc.
- Experience working with project teams that contain Developers IT Business Analysts Architects Quality Assurance Business Product Owners Project Sponsors etc.
- Experience in coordinating with multiple extended teams
Must Have Skills:
- Agile Project Management tools such as Azure DevOps Rally Jira etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project PowerPoint Excel Word

- Strong written and verbal communications skills including meeting facilitation and presentation skills
- Collaborator and team player with the ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
- Strong planning and organizational skills attention to detail and ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments
- Ability to work think independently and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to share knowledge at different levels be hands-on with the team as required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem solving and influencing skills
- Excellent negotiation and conflict management skills
Relocation Preference:
- First Preference is for Scrum Master to be local to Hartford, CT and available to come into the office 2 days per week
- Second Preference will be US remote who is able to work in normal Eastern Standard Time hours with occasional travel to Hartford, CT
