Snow Shoveler

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Snow Shoveler to join our outdoor maintenance team. This role is essential for ensuring safe and accessible walkways, driveways, and outdoor areas during winter months. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, experience with various landscaping and maintenance tasks, and the ability to operate hand tools and power equipment safely. This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors in all weather conditions while contributing to the safety and appearance of our property.

Duties

• Clear snow from walkways, driveways, parking lots, and other outdoor surfaces using shovels, snow blowers, or other equipment
• Apply salt or de-icing materials to prevent ice formation
• Assist with landscaping tasks such as mowing, tree trimming, lawn care, and irrigation during appropriate seasons
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely for landscape maintenance and hardscape projects
• Perform general outdoor maintenance including lawn care, gardening, and landscape upkeep
• Support construction or excavation projects as needed, utilizing equipment such as excavators or other machinery
• Maintain safety standards by inspecting tools and equipment before use and ensuring work areas are hazard-free

Skills

• Mechanical knowledge for operating power tools, snow plowing equipment, and landscaping machinery
• Experience with lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture practices
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as excavators
• Knowledge of snow plowing techniques and de-icing methods for winter storm management
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy loads, shoveling snow, and operating machinery in various weather conditions
• Basic understanding of construction site safety protocols and outdoor maintenance procedures
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety awareness
