Supervisor of Engineering

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Engineering Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will oversee the hotel's engineering operations, ensuring all systems are running smoothly and efficiently, while also leading a skilled team of maintenance engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the engineering team, including maintenance, repairs, and improvements to building systems.
• Perform routine inspections of the hotel premises and equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a high standard of facility upkeep.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to prolong the life of hotel systems and enhance guest comfort.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and other mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and support for events, guest needs, and operational activities.
• Manage inventory and procurement of tools, equipment, and supplies required for maintenance and repairs.
• Train and mentor engineering staff, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
• Assist management with budgeting and financial planning for engineering operations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel maintenance or facility management
• Comprehensive knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and emergencies.
• Experience with DOB and FDNY.
