Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Hospice Administrator to lead and oversee the daily operations of our hospice care services. This pivotal role combines management expertise with a deep understanding of senior care, palliative services, and community-based healthcare. As a Hospice Administrator, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and fostering a supportive environment for staff, patients, and families. Your leadership will drive operational excellence, promote teamwork, and uphold the organization's mission to provide compassionate end-of-life care.
Duties
- Manage the overall operations of the hospice program, including clinical services, administrative functions, and community outreach efforts.
- Develop, implement, and monitor care plans tailored to each patient's needs, including those with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
- Supervise clinical staff such as nurses, social workers, and home health aides to ensure quality care delivery and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Oversee budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation to ensure sustainable operations while maintaining high standards of care.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, families, and community agencies to facilitate seamless care transitions and comprehensive support for residents with complex needs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations related to hospice and long-term care services.
- Lead staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and professional development initiatives to foster a motivated team environment.
- Promote a culture of compassion, dignity, and respect for residents living with chronic illnesses or memory impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
Requirements
- Proven management experience in hospice care or long-term senior care settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or retirement communities.
- Strong background in operations management with expertise in budgeting and financial acumen.
- Extensive knowledge of dementia care practices including memory care strategies and Alzheimer's-specific protocols.
- Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams including nursing staff, social workers, and home & community care providers.
- Familiarity with developing individualized care plans that address complex health conditions like dementia or developmental disabilities.
- Excellent leadership skills combined with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork in fast-paced environments.
- Working knowledge of medication administration procedures within a hospice or senior care context.
- Prior experience working with residents in assisted living facilities or group homes is highly desirable.

Pay: $108, $170,000.00 per year
