Order Processing Specialist

Job Summary

Duties

• Process incoming customer orders through ERP systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Coordinate with warehouse teams to facilitate order picking, packing, and shipping activities
• Monitor inventory levels using warehouse management systems and conduct regular stock audits
• Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to manage supplier relationships and procurement activities
• Utilize data analysis tools like Tableau and SQL to generate reports on order status, inventory levels, and supply chain performance
• Identify root causes of order discrepancies or delays and implement process improvements
• Manage transportation planning and logistics coordination with carriers, freight providers, and 3PL partners to optimize delivery schedules
• Ensure compliance with shipping & receiving protocols, including freight documentation and NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) requirements
• Support demand planning efforts by analyzing sales trends and inventory data for accurate forecasting
• Maintain vendor management records, negotiate terms with suppliers, and oversee category management strategies

Skills

• Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in Tableau, SQL, ERP systems (such as AS400 or similar), and supply chain analytics tools
• Extensive knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and inventory control processes
• Experience in supply chain management, logistics, procurement, sourcing, and freight forwarding
• Mechanical knowledge related to materials handling equipment such as forklifts (certification preferred)
• Excellent negotiation skills for vendor management and contract negotiations
• Ability to perform root cause analysis to resolve supply chain issues efficiently
• Familiarity with demand planning, production planning (MRP), pricing strategies, and category management
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in shipping & receiving operations
• Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments including warehouse distribution, procurement, and transportation planning
• Knowledge of e-commerce logistics processes and supply chain compliance standards
