Band Saw Operator

Job Type: Full-Time | Day Shift | In-Person

Schedule: 40 hours per week | Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with a 1-hour lunch break

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Who we are looking for:

We are seeking a Band Saw Operator to join our manufacturing and fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating band saws and related equipment to cut and prepare raw materials into precise, high-quality components used by our welders and fabricators. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and interest in machine operation. Previous experience with saws, sanders, drills, or other fabrication tools is a plus, but we will provide on-the-job training.

We are looking for someone who can:

• Set up and operate band saws and other machines to saw, cut, drill, and bend materials according to work orders and production schedules
• Ensure accuracy in material sizing, cut dimensions, and tolerances
• Follow standardized work instructions and complete required production documentation
• Perform routine machine maintenance such as blade changes, lubrication, and consumable replacement
• Inspect and measure finished parts to verify quality and accuracy
• Maintain equipment by performing daily cleaning and upkeep
• Monitor and manage raw material inventory, components, and consumables to support continuous workflow
• Consistently meet daily production targets with minimal supervision
• Safely lift and move heavy materials (50+ lbs) as needed
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, bills of materials, weld symbols, and work instructions
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with company safety standards
• Support additional department and production needs as required
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

• Lift, carry, push, and/or pull 50+ lbs. frequently
• Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, crawl, twist/turn, grasp, and reach overhead and outward frequently
• Sit, stand, and walk for 1-10 hours per day
• Work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, eye protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing

Required Experience:

• Manufacturing: 1-2 years
• Band Saw Operating: 1-2 years (preferred)
• Tape Measuring: 1-2 years
