Job Description:
Performs venous, capillary, urine drug screen, swab, or other specimen collection, ensuring appropriate specimen identification and type. Centrifuges, aliquots, and distributes samples to appropriate testing areas, including loading samples onto various analyzers. Generates and reports waived and moderate complexity test results under supervision. Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots testing-related processes, equipment, and instrumentation, documenting activities as required. Monitors test system performance and takes corrective action as necessary. Provides advanced troubleshooting skills and utilizes critical thinking to analyze, correlate, and interpret data. Supports department compliance with laboratory accreditation and regulatory requirements. Compiles and reviews laboratory information system reports to ensure timely collection, processing, and testing of samples. Handles inquiries and resolves complaints related to laboratory services and information promptly and effectively. Communicates critical and significant results and findings to coworkers, providers, and other departments to ensure continuity of laboratory operations and patient care. Oversees day-to-day activities of department associates on assigned shifts and provides input on associate performance and recognition. Coordinates training and competency assessments for new associates and students under the guidance of laboratory leadership. Other duties as assigned.

Pay Range:
$ $31.32
