Job Summary
TAG Muay Thai is seeking a reliable, organized, and proactive Part-Time Operations & Front Desk Coordinator to support both in-gym operations and remote administrative work for our Sterling, VA location.
This role is a hybrid position — partially in-person and mostly remote — designed for someone who enjoys organization, follow-up, and helping a busy gym run smoothly behind the scenes.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and able to communicate clearly with members and staff.
Schedule & Pay
Part-time: 15–25 hours per week
- Pay range: $18–$22 per hour, based on experience
On-site (required):
- Tuesdays & Thursdays (our busiest days)
- Evening shifts typically 5:00 or 5:30 PM – 9:00 PM
- End time may vary slightly based on the number of trial classes
Remote (majority of hours):
- Administrative and follow-up work completed remotely on non-Tues/Thurs days
- Flexible scheduling as long as tasks are completed consistently
How the Role Works (Important)
On-Site Responsibilities (Tuesdays & Thursdays):
- Front desk coverage during peak evening hours
- Greeting members and trial students
- Assisting with check-ins, scheduling, and basic questions
- Supporting coaches and maintaining a professional front desk presence
Remote Responsibilities (Most Other Days):
- Following up with trial students and leads who visited the gym
- Managing messages, emails, and basic admin tasks
- Performing daily "sweeps," such as:
- Morning sweep (messages, leads, admin check)
- Afternoon sweep (follow-ups, confirmations)
- Evening sweep (before or after gym hours)
- Light weekend sweeps (morning or afternoon, remote) as needed
All remote work can be completed from home.
Responsibilities
- Handle member communication and follow-up professionally
- Maintain organization of schedules, leads, and admin tasks
- Support daily operations so coaches can focus on teaching
- Communicate clearly with management regarding priorities and updates
- Help ensure a smooth, professional experience for new and existing members
Qualifications
- Reliable, punctual, and highly organized
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable using email, messaging apps, and scheduling software
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively
- Prior admin, front desk, or customer service experience preferred
- Fitness, gym, or small business experience is a plus (not required)
