Assistant Manager – Training

Location: Fort Worth Alliance, TX
Department: Final Assembly Department
Reports To: Department Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time




Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to lead, develop and implement comprehensive training programs for our Final Assembly Department. This position will be responsible for ensuring that employees at all levels within the department receive the necessary training to understand their job requirements and responsibilities and to enhance their skills, knowledge, and productivity while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This role is critical in maintaining a highly skilled workforce to meet operational goals and drive continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment.




Key Responsibilities


  1. Training Program Development:

    1. Design, implement, and oversee training programs for manufacturing personnel, including new hire onboarding for manufacturing processes, technical skills development, safety protocols, and ongoing employee development.
    2. Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in employee skills and knowledge and develop training solutions accordingly.
    3. Develop standardized training materials and ensure they align with organizational goals and expectations.
  2. Employee Onboarding and Continuous Development:

    1. Manage and execute onboarding programs to ensure new employees are fully equipped to perform their roles effectively and safely.
    2. Provide coaching and guidance to Final Assembly department employees to promote growth, professional development, and a better understanding of Final Assembly processes.
    3. Work with other section managers to identify and implement cross-training opportunities to build a flexible and versatile workforce.
    4. Provide skills assessments to assist other section managers with optimizing placement of employees within the Final Assembly department.
    5. Assess training effectiveness by tracking performance metrics, conducting post-training evaluations, and integrating employee feedback into continuous program improvements.
  3. Safety and Compliance:

    1. Maintain documentation of training activities, certifications, and compliance records.

Develop standardized training materials and ensure they align with organizational goals and expectations.

Qualifications

Qualifications



    1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Manufacturing, Human Resources, or a related field.
    2. Proven experience as a training manager or an equivalent role including a proficiency in training tools and learning management systems (LMS).
    3. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety practices, and quality management systems (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
    4. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to analyze data and track workforce performance metrics.
    5. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple training programs at one time.
